FIT

SEPT 2022

If I were to create a fashion line for mythical creatures, what would that look like? Although there is the long debate over whether AI generated art is considered art and who takes credit for the works, I want to call this project a collaborative work with the AI model provided by Midjourney. There was a specific visual in mind when I was inputting phrases like “vogue style, dark background, hd quality landscape photoshoot of a centaur posing,v2” into the program. After it gave me few options to choose from, I guided the program to give me the exact image of what I was looking for. I consider this piece a collaborative work because although I would like to say I had control over the vision for the project, there were definitely moments where I was impressed by AI’s interpretation of a dragon dress.

please help me

OCT 2022

Created a mystery narrative digital game using Bitsy. Explore the space freely.

“Over the past month, you have been receiving small note cards through your office basement door from an unknown source, and it reads: "Please help me." You have never opened that room before moving in, and now you are quite curious as to who is messing with you. Today the note card came in as usual, but something is different. Instead of the typical plea of help,  it says...”

Gaze the Stars

OCT 2022

There is this “sweet spot” on campus that I alway walk by and look up at the stars because i used to always have late evening studios during that semester.

I wanted to share the experience and remind other students who also might be having a long day that there is something beautiful they can appreciate just above their heads.

close-knit community

NOV 2022

Collaboration with another classmate: Connie Kim. We worked on the same part of the product at the same time with equal work distribution.

The project was a play on the idea of creating a community-use product as a community. This communal bean bag was created from donated fabrics from residents of Morewood Gardens, which is a CMU dorm, and the participants were gathered from the UC part of the campus. Each student contributed to one loop of the bean bag.

After completion, the project was on display by the black chairs for some time for the students to interact with.

Shoot, what time is it?!

I built a device to solve one of my daily problem in a physical computing course, using an Arduino Uno. It is a interactive alarm clock that requires the user to aim a nerf gun to a target attached to the clock to stop the alarm.

color sensor

Group project with two other classmates: Jonathan Lindstrom and Freda Su.

Our team built a device that senses the RGB values of a fabric when a button is pressed and prints out the color label and the values for the our client Bill, who has achromatopsia.

During our initial interview, we found that Bill has trouble picking out matching outfits in the morning because of his colorblindness. To make this process more convenient for Bill, we proposed the following product: a gadget senses the Red, Green, Blue values of a fabric or clothing when a button is pressed and prints out the color and the values for the user.
